Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?

We do recommend and greatly appreciate scheduled appointments. It is very important to us to give you our personalized attention. We will do our best to accommodate walk-in customers if a bridal consultant is available and if the schedule permits. If not, we will gladly set up an appointment that is convenient for you and your family. Evening and Saturday appointments tend to fill up quickly, so please contact us prior to the week you wish to come in if at all possible. Appointments usually run approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as you are aware of a schedule conflict, as there are waiting lists for brides who need a specific day or time to come in and we do our best to accommodate all interested parties.

Ideally, a bride should have her dress ordered 10-12 months prior to her wedding. It is recommended to have the bridesmaids' and mothers' dresses ordered at least 6 months prior. If there are any delays with manufacturing or if there is a problem with your order, there will be time to accommodate it and still have time for any needed alterations.

How soon before my wedding should I order my bridal gown?

We know it's an exciting time for you and everyone participating in your special day, but it is very important to have a calm atmosphere during your bridal appointment. Ideally, sharing this time with one or two of your close family members or friends works well. The consultant will want to work closely with you and be able to ask questions, listen and accommodate any requests or customizations that you may want. It is your wedding and your opinion is most important, you should feel comfortable and not obligated to please all those surrounding you. One or two people that know you best usually won't confuse your emotions but will offer support and listen to your thoughts.

How many people should I bring to my bridal appointment?

Once you've decided which dress is THE ONE, do yourself a favor and stop looking at other dresses so you don't second-guess yourself! Have faith in your judgement, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from having one of your most special decisions looked after by the team at D.I. Bridal Boutique & Formalwear. We are your one-stop shop for your entire wedding party!

What if I can't decide on a dress?

We pride ourselves in providing you with the best customer care and service. Our bridal consultants are professional, caring and knowledgeable. They are ready to help you with any and all of your wedding needs. Being an authorized dealer for our designers ensures quality, authenticity, and support from the company. By ordering online, you run the risk of numerous problems such as wrong dye lots, defective garments, used garments or not receiving your garment in time for your event. Many of these sites offer huge discounts, but they don't disclose that you are purchasing copies, not authentic designer garments. These are all too familiar risks that we see daily from customers who take the chance of ordering from an online, unauthorized, faceless shop. Saving a little in the beginning may end up costing you a lot more in the end.

There are so many online sites, why should I buy from a bridal store?

Yes, we do. The tuxedo company that we work with offers a thorough online site, allowing you and your fiancé, groomsmen or fathers to create that special look from the comfort of your own home. Check out www.rondinellituxedo.com.

Do you rent tuxedos?

We do provide alteration referral services, but you are not required to utilize our recommended seamstresses. You may use your own tailor or seamstress. We provide a list of local seamstresses that we are familiar with for alterations upon request and any payment is made directly to the seamstress you select.

Can I have my alterations completed at your boutique or

do I have to find my own seamstress?

The seamstresses work very specific days and hours. Therefore, they handle their own schedules and it is very important to schedule an appointment direct with the seamstress of your choice, whether referred by our boutique or identified on your own. Ideally, bridal alterations should begin at least 3 months prior and mothers' dresses at least 6 weeks prior. It is also very important to be on time for your appointment. Appointments run much like a doctor's office - if someone is late, it will cause delays to other scheduled appointments.

Do I need to schedule an appointment to have my alterations done?

You must have your exact shoes and undergarments that will be worn with the dress you selected. The seamstress cannot fit you properly without these items. Changes during the alteration process will only incur additional alteration fees, delays and improper fit between you and the seamstress you select.
